We are friends, neighbors, and obsessed with all things style. Gina designs unique, hand-crafted jewelry and Jennifer practices the art of wardrobe management. It was only natural that they came together to launch a blog and style shop. Cakewalk Style Shop.

I’m so on the go right now, the only posts I can make are snap shots here and there. But, I thought this was pretty enough to share. Tamarindo, Costa Rica has the loveliest sunsets; they are different every evening. I get to enjoy these for another week.
I am still able to get my blog fix, while still remaining on a break. Last night, I got to visit with my upstairs neighbors, Olga and Slavik. They have a super cool blog. Please check it out!
I am now going to pack up the resting toddler, head back to the beach to meet up with the others, and wait for another evening viewing…
I am in love with this picture. As my husband and I were making our way up Highway 1 last week, we stopped here for lunch and I snapped this shot. I loved the colors, the oyster freezer, the weathered wood, everything. As I was taking the pic, this cute little girl breezed through the shot. Look at her little silver Mary Janes!
We had the loveliest lunch (loveliest day). This was the view I was lucky to have from my table. Everything about this place was cute.
I cannot wait to take this drive again. It won’t be soon enough…
My husband and I rode these cute little bikes all over Calistoga
this past weekend. I’ve added one of these to my Wish List!
Really. We’re not (going anywhere). The posting has been non-existent. We (Gina and myself) have both had whirlwind summers. But, the postings will resume.
And, stay tuned to see the project we have in the works…

I just learned something about my very good friend, across the street neighbor, and Cakewalk co-blogger on our Twitter! She’s featured on Oligoville and it’s worth checking out. We just missed each other. I’ve been out of town for two weeks and now she’s gone for three. She’s in Italy, I was in West Texas. What do I say about that?
I did see some beautiful sunsets, however…

When I was a little girl, I loved the Archie comic books. I mean, loved them. As far as I was concerned there were two types of girls; you were either a Betty or a Veronica. I, of course, was Veronica. At least, I wanted to be Veronica. Despite her slightly selfish, and possibly spoiled, egocentric personality, she is a force to be reckoned with. Veronica is no shrinking violet and she is NOT the girl next door. She knows what she wants and she gets it. Betty is too nice. A little bit boring and I find her personality somewhat vapid.
I read on CNN.com that the 600th issue of Archie Comics will be on newsstands in September. The landmark issue finally reveals Archie’s choice. ( drum roll please…)
He is marrying …Veronica!
Yea!!! I’m actually happy about this.
I’m sure that many Betty supporters will be upset that the blonde, blue–eyed, goody two shoes does not prevail. Actually, I liken this to a certain modern day conflict that we all saw splashed across the tabloids.
And, yes. Definitely Angelina. No question.
