Moncler stops traffic

During NY Fashion Week, Moncler staged a huge surprise for commuters in the main terminal of Grand Central Station. Looking like chic aliens, over 140 dancers dressed in brightly colored maroon, grey and gold Moncler clothing (complete with goggles) boogied wildly to Prince, Tchaikovsky and the O’Jays. I would have loved to see this live! Jen and I still laugh over our stress levels of putting together our first Cakewalk Style fashion show. Trying to imagine the planning required to pull off a surprise event of this scale in the middle of Grand Central…

There is nothing more satisfying than a freshly sharpened, brand new pencil. Maybe it’s the promise of possibility… Here is something on my wish list!

It’s art. It’s inspiration.

From Felissimo, each month for 20 months, 25 colors arrive by mail from Japan- packaged in like tones and hues. There are several brilliant options in which to display your pencils, turning your collection into beautiful, modern art.

Get your globe here

Oh, the places you’ll go. Love that. Today, my family reluctantly flew back from Park City and I am now thinking about our next adventure. I’m trying to move on and not fall out and cry that we left lots of friends there to have a perfectly good time without us. But, I’m happy for them. Really. Houston was pretty today. And, I’m fully unpacked. Bonus! Or, should I say ‘Winning’! (I won’t mention the industrial size trash bag that sits in my laundry room full of ski apparel to be ‘gently washed’ and ‘hung to dry’). So, in trying to make myself feel better, I’m dreaming ahead. This summer holds some sort of a surf trip, location yet to be determined. But, it’s looking like September holds this. And this. I can hardly wait.

Aren’t these globes fun? All ImagineNations are handmade to order on vintage globes.

I need this one for my Benjamin: “To the Rescue”. He’s obsessed with Super Heros. Obsessed.

Which globe do you fancy?

Red Swarovski Blood Cell Cuff by Young&ng

Given my penchant for scientific curiosities, I was drawn into Young&ng’s booth at Coterie last month. After meeting the designer and hearing her speak of the inspiration for different pieces, I was more than drawn in; I was stricken. I so want this Blood Cell Cuff. Curious? See more here
