We are friends, neighbors, and obsessed with all things style. Gina designs unique, hand-crafted jewelry and Jennifer practices the art of wardrobe management. It was only natural that they came together to launch a blog and style shop. Cakewalk Style Shop.

Juicy Couture “Kipper" Wedge
taken by Nancy Aidee
I am way, way behind on checking my favorite blogs. In fact, I’m way behind on posting to my own blog(s)! One of the first blogs I do check, when I find the time, is Sarah Klassen/Haute Design. In her latest post, she recaps her trip to the Juicy Couture store this weekend and poses the question “Do you love Juicy as well?”. My answer: “mostly”. I won’t buy anything with the logos splashed across the garment, but I very much love their coats and cardigans. And, some of their dresses. And, these shoes. LOVE. They were my favorite Spring buy. And, I just so happen to have the sweet picture of them to post…

When I was a little girl, I loved the Archie comic books. I mean, loved them. As far as I was concerned there were two types of girls; you were either a Betty or a Veronica. I, of course, was Veronica. At least, I wanted to be Veronica. Despite her slightly selfish, and possibly spoiled, egocentric personality, she is a force to be reckoned with. Veronica is no shrinking violet and she is NOT the girl next door. She knows what she wants and she gets it. Betty is too nice. A little bit boring and I find her personality somewhat vapid.
I read on CNN.com that the 600th issue of Archie Comics will be on newsstands in September. The landmark issue finally reveals Archie’s choice. ( drum roll please…)
He is marrying …Veronica!
Yea!!! I’m actually happy about this.
I’m sure that many Betty supporters will be upset that the blonde, blue–eyed, goody two shoes does not prevail. Actually, I liken this to a certain modern day conflict that we all saw splashed across the tabloids.
And, yes. Definitely Angelina. No question.

Gina emailed me this morning wanting to call this dress to my attention (she thinks I should have it). Yes, darling dress. The pic (the catalog) makes me want to be in Austin. Now. I really do love Texas. Dallas last weekend. Austin this weekend? I’m pondering…
