how to describe…

Shecky’s Girls Night Out? Hmmmm… how to describe? Interesting. Good if you are looking to visit a weight loss booth (we weren’t), in the market for trucker hats (uhmmm...), or will be planning a bachelorette party in the near future (we’re not). I didn’t get to check anything off my ‘Wish List’. To be fair, we didn’t visit everyone. There may have been a few super cool booths. We did hear that the lia molly stuff was cute; we just didn’t make it over there. It became too crowded to maneuver and we decided to duck out early and go for Sushi.

I did like these earrings, however. They are made from 100% organic Brazilian grass.

Jewelry Design Inspiration: Bubbles

I am currently obsessed with bubbles. It all started a few years ago when I walked into Mix, the fabulous Alain Ducasse restaurant above the Mandalay Bay hotel. Hanging from the soaring ceilings are hundreds of strands of beautiful glass bubbles. They immediately remind me of an art deco ceiling fixtures draped with crystals spheres. The result is breathtakingly cool. Ultra chic and yet sentimental. Who didn’t love blowing bubbles as a child?

Last week I met with my stonecutters in NYC. Discussing ideas for my jewelry line, Charmed Circle, the first thing that came to mind was beautiful, faceted spheres, in various colors of semi precious stones. Shiny, colorful, reflective bubbles.

Yes! They all smile and nod. It can be done! Eureka!

The jewelry is in the works. Stay tuned to see if my inspiration comes to realization.
